If you are looking for baby gifts to present to a new arrival in your family or among your friends, then there is a whole lot of choice. If it is bottle feeding as well that the newborn is being treated to then selecting the right baby bottle for babies is extremely important. Baby bottles come in glass as well as plastic and you also have the disposable baby bottles which come with liners. Glass baby bottles are beneficial in that they are pretty durable and can be used for a long time. But the only disadvantage is that they are not only heavy but breakable as well. One would not advise them to be used for newborns or extremely young infants.

Plastic baby bottles are long lasting too and are much lighter as compared to the glass feeding bottles. And the disposable feeding bottles that come with liners are not even required to be sterilized prior to bottle feeding baby each time. Many of these feeding bottles are so designed that they even reduce the amount of air the baby takes in while feeding. However, these can work out to be pretty expensive but they do come under the category of baby gifts that every parent would welcome.

If you are bottle feeding your baby then you will need to buy baby bottle nipples; you can choose between the silicone ones or the rubber ones. The silicone nipples which last longer also cost you more. You should make sure that the nipple you select is made from non-toxic material to ensure the safety of your baby. Also, no matter how long-lasting the nipples might be, you should replace them every three months or so. Nowadays, you have plenty of online stores where you can order some pretty nice baby gifts and have them delivered to your doorstep. Some of them even provide you with free shipping.

Among the many baby gifts available are baby bottle bibs. As you continue bottle feeding your baby you will have to select nipples with bigger holes or you might choose to enlarge the holes by yourself. As your baby grows bigger he or she will find it more difficult to such milk from nipples with tiny holes as a result of which feeding time can get longer making him or her anxious or uncomfortable. Keep checking the nipples for signs of wear and tear. If it turns out to be too soft, replace it with a new one at once as a damaged nipple can choke a baby.

The majority of babies are happy to be fed formulas that are tepid. If your baby would rather have formula milk that is warmed up a little, you could warm the bottle with the milk inside by holding it under a tap with hot water running or place it in a basin of hot water. Once heated, you can feed your baby. You can also check how hot it is by squirting some on your wrist. If you are bottle feeding your baby do not microwave heat the bottle of milk as the microwave does not heat things uniformly and even though the bottle might be cold the milk might be too hot.
