These are examples of the most popular 80s films and doubtless made an effect on many races lives.

What is it about flicks and the entire film industry that we like so much? For one it is excellent fun and entertainment. A point when you can escape into a world of make believe and live yourself into the task of a particular character. It is relaxing and can waken extraordinary feelings and even rumpus. It also gives us a chance to see our fave film star in action giving his or her greatest or worse performance ever.

The primary aim of a production is to tap into a spectators psyche in such a manner that she forgets that they have a life outside of the movie theater. If directors and producers get that right, they have a box office hit. Their message in the film should spread like wild-fire and cause millions of men and women around the world to queue for tickets, come rain, wind, hail or snow.

The ninth decade of the 20 th century was certainly a noisy one. This period brought us social and business change spurred on by wealth brought on by an industrial boom worldwide . It also saw an irresistible rise of blockbuster films. Nudity became acceptable and more horror, action and scifi flicks surfaced than ever before. These genres were given a lift due partly to the Star Wars films and the advent of this decade's new cinematic has effects on it helped forerunner.

Comedy in 80s films wasn't left in the dust and one only has to have a look at names like Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd to recollect the boom this class experienced as well.. They made us cry with laughter, helping us forget our inhibitions when we were at the films.

Categories like horror, action, comedy, drama and westerns made great cash at the box office in this decade. Films in the 80s was a time of exploration and pushing into new frontiers when it came to CGI effects. With this industry developing at the rate of light, we were exposed to wonderful PC graphic pictures, surround sound and a better quality of film in general - making movie-going much more special than what it was in the past.

When it comes to fantastical movies, nobody can beat the genius of the Spielberg and Lucas team creating Raiders of the Lost Ark. It ended up being the highest grossing film of 1981. Another 80s motion picture that left viewers mesmerised and speaking for several years on was Spielberg's other smash hit, E. T. - the Extra-Terrestrial. This film shattered all records earning 40% more than the Star Wars film.

One can be forgiven for not having the ability to mention all the 80s films, because they are just too common. But suffice to say they captured our hearts. Whether it was simply for pleasure or debate, film goers in the eighties were happy with what the 80s film industry was pumping out.
