Addressing an election meeting at Madiyahun, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi once again urged the youth to come ahead and lead from the front for the development of the state.

"We need to think with a new and modern outlook. There is no problem with the people of Uttar Pradesh; the problem lies with the state government, which never thinks about the development of the state and the welfare of the people. I am here to work, I am here to change the face of Uttar Pradesh with your help, with the help of the youth of the state," he said.

Earlier, Mr. Gandhi reached Garwara in Jaunpur today to campaign for the Congress party candidate. Speaking at the public meeting at Garwara, he said, "You all know about the state better than me, it is in a pathetic condition. You know better cause you are the one who uses the road, your kids go the schools, and you know that the schools are doing no good for the future of your children. In the last 15 years, India progressed while Uttar Pradesh went backwards".

"The youth of the state are contributing a lot in the development of other states, and when I meet them they say that there are no job opportunities in the state and that is the reason they move out of the state. When the youth of Uttar Pradesh can work for the better of other states, why can't they do the same for UP? You need to know about the money, which the Central government sends to the state for you, for your development. This money belongs neither to Delhi nor to Lucknow, it is meant for you, and thus you need to take the accounts," he said.

"I am not one who will go back on his words, I will keep coming after the assembly polls also and will keep working with you. For the situation to change, it's a must that the youth of the society come ahead and lead from the front," he added.
