The first thing that strikes you when you initially grab hold of the W910i is the screen. It takes up most of the real estate available on the front of the phone and is much larger than those that have graced other Walkman phones such as the W880i. It's a joy to use as the colours are vibrant and text and icons look very clean and sharp. Despite the large size of the display, the handset itself actually feels very slim and light.

The Sony Ericsson W910i is a superslim slide phone, measuring just 12.5mm thick (slimmer than the Samsung D900.) It's a lovely looking phone with a tapered bottom edge and a superslim profile. The W910i wears its Walkman credentials on its sleeve, with music controls featured prominently when the slide is closed.

Sony Ericsson makes much of the 'shake control', which allows you to switch tracks by shaking the phone like a Polaroid picture. Tilt it to the right to go to the next track, tilt left for the previous track and activate the random function by giving it a hearty shake back and forth.
Included in the box is a Memory Stick Micro adapter for plugging the storage card straight into a regular computer USB port, bypassing the need for a special card reader. Tracks are then loaded on using Sony Ericsson's intuitive new Media Manager software.
Sony Ericsson has reverted back to the slider-style mobile handsets. The slide action, while smooth and responsive, could do with a tad more movement. Available in Noble Black or Hearty Red, the W910i is impressively light and it looks pretty smart too.
The W910i incorporates Sony Ericsson's new "Shake Control" that lets you change to a new random track by giving the phone a flick. The motion sensor also lets you flip between portrait and landscape viewing of photos. Fun, but not life changing.
