The Sony Ericsson has recently announced a new arrival to its range of sliding Walkman handsets. The Sony Ericsson Spiro offers the winning combination of pleasing aesthetics and styling along with an appealing specification list which is primarily aimed at music fans.

For storage of music tracks and other files, 5 MB of internal storage is provided as standard. However, should further storage be required and the micro SD slot can be employed by installing a memory card of up to 16 GB. The internal phonebook can store up to 2000 entries and boasts the popular Photocall feature. Thanks to the inclusion of the Sony Ericsson's renowned Walkman Technology, the Spiro is a very functional music player which accommodates a number of file formats of not only music tracks but also video files. Additional entertainment options include a stereo FM radio player and a number of pre-installed games along with access to a library of downloadable games. An organiser and T9 predictive text input add to the everyday functionality of the handset. In order to stay connected to the internet and cellular networks in all but the most isolated of locations, a number of connectivity methods are utilised by the Sony Ericsson Spiro. Class 10 versions of both EDGE & GPRS offer the primary means of cellular network connectivity. Bluetooth and micro USB connections are both provided as standard allowing the Sony Ericsson Spiro to connect to a number of other compatible hardware devices such as mobile phones and computers. This allows a range of different tasks to be carried out such as backing up contact information from the phonebook all transferring of media files.
