The Samsung Omnia Lite is a handset which offers sumptuous functionality within a stylish casing. Released in September 2009 this compact and lightweight handset has proved popular for a variety of reasons. The handset utilises the Samsung ARM 1176 667 MHz processor as well as the Microsoft Windows mobile 6.1 professional as its operating system. In addition geo-tagging, the means of locational referencing is also provided. The camera doubles up as a video recording and playback device at VGA quality and at 15 frames per second, whilst a secondary camera provides video call capabilities.


GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, Wi Fi, Blue tooth and micro-USB are also included in this connectivity ensemble. Internet access is provided at fast speeds whilst the Wi Fi offers the opportunity to access nationally available hotspots. GPS with A-GPS support is provided with this handset for satellite navigational purposes.


The phone comes with an internal memory of 250 MB, which can be significantly upgraded and expanded up to 32 GB by making use of the built in microSD slot. The handset comes with an MP3/MP4 player as well as a stereo FM radio with RDS, in conjunction with FM recording capabilities. An organiser and a document viewer and voice memo are also included within the package.
