Released in November 2009, the Samsung B7330 OmniaPro is a very versatile handset. Offering a full QWERTY keyboard and features such as a digital camera and internet access it is easy to see why this is a popular handset.

The B7330 OmniaPro measures 114.9x59x10.8mm and weighs in at 107g so is a slim line and lightweight phone making it comfortable to hold and use. The 2.62 inch TFT screen is capable of displaying up to 65,000 colours at 320x320 pixels ensuring depth and clarity of on screen images.

Users are alerted to incoming calls and messages by vibration and ringing, and polyphonic ringtones can be downloaded along with the option to utilize MP3 music files as ringtones. A speakerphone is built in allowing hands free communication.

270 MB of internal storage is provided along with 256 MB RAM, however a microSD slot can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB providing plenty of storage for media files and other data. The popular photo call feature is also included whereby a photo of each contact can be assigned to the relevant contact and a photo is displayed on the screen when that person calls.


A range of connectivity features ensures users are connected on the move. Class 10 versions of both GPRS and EDGE are provided and connection to 3G networks is via a HSDPA connection at speeds of up to 7.2Mbps. HSUPA is also provided at speeds of up to 2Mbps. Wi-Fi connectivity means users can take advantage of local wireless internet facilities for a faster connection to the web. Bluetooth version 2.0 is installed as standard allowing direct transfer of files and data with other Bluetooth compatible devices.

The B7330 OmniaPro is equipped with a camera boasting 3.15 MP which operates at a pixel resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. This has autofocus and the increasingly popular geo-tagging facility where users can tag the location at which a photo was taken. The camera is also capable of shooting video as an alternative to taking still images. This is in QVGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second.

A versatile media player is also included. This can play a range of file formats for both music and video files. These can easily be transferred to and from a computer via the provided micro USB (v2.0) port. Other entertainment options include a Stereo FM radio with RDS and a range of games.


A range of extra features is also included. Among these are direct access to Windows Live, Yahoo and AOL as well as Adobe Flash Lite, Microsoft Outlook Mobile and Pocket Office which is compatible with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents. A useful voice memo recorder is included as well as T9 predictive text input which saves time when writing text messages.

Samsung have chosen the impressive Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 Standard operating system, and this is coupled with a very capable 528 MHz Processer for handling demanding applications.
