The Nokia X6 offers sumptuous functionality

The Nokia X6 is an impressively stylish handset which since its release in December 2009 has already become a popular option with the consumer. The unit provides an impressive array of advanced technology within the confines of a compact and lightweight casing. The unit has dimensions of 111 mm x 51 mm wide whilst being 13 mm thick and is 122 g in weight.


The 3.2 inch TFT touch screen displays up to 16 million colours, which ensures the imagery displayed on the screen is exceptionally colourful and representative of true life colour. As with all smart phones, this particular unit utilises a central processing unit which in this case is the ARM 11 434 MHz processor. The handset operating system is the Symbian series 60, which is version 9.4. Both of these elements provide a stable and reliable platform by which the enclosed functionality can be utilised effectively.


The phone comes with a 5.0 megapixel camera which as testimony to its quality includes Carl Zeiss optics. In addition, as a means to help picture taking, auto focus and a dual LED flash are also included as well as a useful photo editor. The ever growing popular geo-tagging is provided, whilst for those who prefer the alternative medium of video can utilise this handset for its video capabilities to record VGA quality video capture at 30 frames per second. A secondary camera also offers QCIF quality video capture at 15 frames per second.


The Nokia X6 Blue is one of the colour variants available, with the other option being red on black. In addition the handset also includes an FM stereo radio, MP4/MP3 media player, organiser and voice command facilities as well as a TV-out option. This handset is sure to become a popular handset because it provides an impressive level of technology encased within an aesthetically pleasing styled casing.
