The Nokia X6 Has An Excellent 5MP Camera

The recently released Nokia X6 combines a range of advanced features with a stunning slim line handset which operates via a touch screen interface. The X6 ticks all the boxes of a popular mobile phone.

The phone measures 111x51x13.8mm and weighs in at 122g. The 3.2" capacitive touch screen is capable of displaying up to 16million colours ensuring clarity and depth of colour, at 360x640 pixels. An accelerometer is built in which allows the images on the screen to rotate allowing the user to view the phones content in both portrait and landscape forms. The screen is manufactured in scratch resistant glass, protecting it from everyday knocks and bumps.

The X6 will alert the user to incoming calls and messages by vibration and ringing. Polyphonic ringtones can be downloaded and there is the option to use mp3 music files as ringtones. A speakerphone facility is included meaning hands free communication via stereo speakers for clearer sound. A 3.5mm audio jack in included on the handset so hands free kits can be used, as can headphones to listen to music.


Expandable memory is not an option with the X6 however a generous 32GB of internal memory provides plenty of storage for media files, contacts and files. RAM is 128MB. A variety of connectivity options include class32 GPRS and class32 EDGE. Internet connection is provided in by HSDPA at speeds of up to 3.6Mbps. WiFi access lets users take advantage of hotspots at various locations around the country. Bluetooth version 2.0 is installed as standard allowing file transfer between compatible Bluetooth devices.

The X6 includes a camera boasting 5MP, which operates at a pixel resolution of 2592x1944 pixels and even includes Carl Zeiss optics. Other features of this camera are auto focus, dual LED flash and a video light. The increasingly popular geo-tagging facility is also provided. The camera can shoot VGA video at 30 frames per second. A secondary camera provides QCIF quality capture at 15fps.

Music files supported by the phones music player are mp3, WMA, WAV, RA, AAC and M4A. The video player supports WMV, RV, MP4 and 3GP formats. Media files can be easily transferred to and from a computer via the phones microUSB (v2.0) port.


The X6's operating system is Symbian series 60. Combined with a powerful ARM 11 434 processor, the X6 is a very capable mobile phone. Other included features are an organiser, photo editor, voice command/dial and T9 predictive text input.

The combination of powerful applications and hardware along will a beautifully designed handset is sure to make the Nokia X6 a very popular phone.
