The Nokia X3 is one of the latest releases from Nokia, which comes with an impressive new styling and comprehensive functionality. Released in December 2009 this unit measures 96 mm x 49 mm wide and is 14 mm thick, whilst weighing 103 g in weight. The handset comes with a comprehensive list of functionality which provides the means to conduct a variety of tasks whilst on the move. The unit is available in red on black and blue on silver colour variations and has already proved a popular unit from the Nokia stable.


As with most Nokia handsets, the display screen is a joy to behold, offering as it does the ability to display up to 256,000 colours within the confines of a 240 x 320 pixel screen size. This TFT display screen is 2.2 inches in size and offers excellent colour reproduction and imagery. Alert types available within this handset include both vibration and ring, with the option of downloading polyphonic and MP3 ringtones for further individualisation of the handset.


The Nokia X3 comes with 46 MB of internal memory, however a 2 GB card is included with most packages. For further memory expansion, utilisation of the integrated microSD card slot provides the means to upgrade memory capacity up to 16 GB. Connectivity is provided by a variety of means which include class 32 versions of GPRS and EDGE, as well as micro-USB and Bluetooth.



A stereo FM radio with RDS capabilities is included, which also comes with a built in antenna to provide suitable entertainment. The integrated MP4/MP3 player is an excellent media player that supports the majority of audio and video file formats currently available. For further entertainment a variety of games are included within the package, with the added bonus of being able to download further games if desired.


Video recording and playback is provided on this unit, at QCIF quality which is at 15 frames per second, whilst still imagery can be taken with the 3.2 megapixel camera that comes with it had fixed focus capabilities. In addition to the numerous functionality already mentioned, the handset comes with a speakerphone, which has stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm audio Jack and dedicated music keys. In addition an organiser, voice memo and a flash lite 3.0 are also included as standard


The Nokia X3, much like the Nokia X6 , is an exceptionally stylish handset with an impressive level of functionality. Offering everything that a user could require from a mobile phone, this handset's popularity is fully justified.
