The Nokia C6 has a top contacts widget which provides the user with all of their favourite contacts, such as their closest and most contacted friends and shows them all their information including their latest Facebook updates, while also supporting other social networks. The handset comes with a 3.2 inch touch screen with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, and also offers a 5 megapixel camera among a range of entertainment and messaging features.
An easy to use email client through Nokia Messaging is capable of integrating personal email accounts including those from Google Mail, Yahoo Mail and Windows Live as well as Ovi Mail providing a further free email account for the user. There is also an email web widget, and a unified editor between text, multimedia messaging and email.
The handset features a full HTML, XHTML web browser, and offers seamless web browsing with touch control thanks to the resistive touch screen display offered, meaning it is easy to scroll up and down web pages. The browser also has a visual history, and support for Javascript, Flash Lite 3.1 and Flash video technologies.
The C6 has both integrated GPS and Assisted GPS (A-GPS) receivers along with an accelerometer to adjust the orientation of maps when displayed through the Ovi Maps application preinstalled and with a free lifetime licence for upgrades (while using this handset). Route planning and turn-by-turn navigation among other location based features are all available.
The phone has a 5 megapixel camera which is autofocus and includes a dual LED flash for enhanced light in poor light conditions along with automatic geotagging of both images and videos. The accelerometer allows the phone to automatically take photos according to its orientation, so if the phone is in landscape, the photo will be too and vice versa for portrait. The camera also has up to 4 times digital zoom as well as a secondary camera being present for video calling.
The handset also features the Nokia Music Player for music and playlists, as well as other management features and supports all the major audio file formats, along with supporting most as full music ringtones also. The user interface can additionally be used in conjunction with the large touch display to play games which along with music and more widgets an be downloaded from the Ovi Store.
