The popular LG Cookie range has been around for a while now. Originally released in September 2008 the LG KP500 cookie has recently been made available in a gold colour variant. This attractive handset offers stylus pen navigation along with many key features.
It weighs only 89 grams making it comfortable to hold and use on the move, and measures 106.5x55.4x11.9mm. A large 3 inch TFT resistive touch screen displays 256,000 colours at 240x400 pixels ensuring vibrant display of on screen content. It features an accelerometer for auto rotate and handwriting recognition which works in conjunction with a stylus pen for precise navigation of the user interface.
Vibration and ringing offer the primary means of alert, however these can be customized thanks to downloadable polyphonic ringtones and the option to utilize MP3 music files as ringtones. Further customisation is available with the presence of a composer for custom ringtones. Also a speakerphone is installed allowing hands free communication on the move.
48MB of internal storage offers adequate room for storing media files and other data. The phonebook carries up to 1000 contacts and includes the photo call feature whereby a photo of each contact is assigned. This then appears whenever that person is in contact.
Class 10 GPRS and EDGE are the main methods of connecting to networks, whereas Bluetooth is also installed which lets users share files and data with friends provided they are in the same vicinity and have a compatible handset. A micro USB connection finishes off the list of connectivity features. This simplifies the task of transferring data such as media files between the phone itself and a computer.
A versatile media player supports several different formats of both music and video files. Other entertainment options include stereo FM player and a range of pre-installed games along with the option to download additional games if required. Its range of entertainment options makes it an ideal handset for music fans.
A 3.15MP camera is built into the handset. This operates at a pixel resolution of 2048x1536 pixels allowing quality still images to be taken. It also has the option to shoot video in QVGA quality at a rate of 12 frames per second, offering an alternative to taking still images.
Additional features include a document viewer, a handy organiser, voice memo recorder and T9 predictive text input.
As well as its functionality, the KP500 Cookie Gold also appeals to fashion conscious users, with a range of colours available. These include the aforementioned gold handset, along with Black, Vandyke Brown, Anodising Silver, Delicious White, and Pink.
Given it's combination of style and functionality, it is easy to see the appeal of this handset.
