The LG GB220 Green offers affordable simplicity

The LG GB220 Green is a phone that is aimed squarely at the affordable budget market. It offers limited functionality but is emphatically stylish. With squared edges this phone offers lightweight and slim line technology. The handset is 105 mm x 46 mm wide and is 14 mm thick. The handset comes with a variety of alert types which include vibration and ring tone, with the added benefit of the ability to download and utilise polyphonic ringtones as a means of individualising the phone.


The handset comes with a 1.76 inch TFT internal display screen. The screen is able to display 65,000 colours and a pixel screen size of 176 x 2 20 pixels. This colourful internal screen provides the means to display images in a vibrant manner with excellent clarity and image. The second screen is the external screen which is 1.04 inches in size and is also TFT. This screen operates at a pixel screen size of 96 x 64 pixels.


The phone comes with an internal memory of 6 MB although this can be greatly expanded upon by utilising the microSD slot which allows the memory to expanded up to 2 GB.


Connectivity is provided by the means of GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and USB. This provides the phones ability to be able to share files seamlessly with other suitably attired devices as well as synchronising with a PC should the need arise.


The LG GB220 Green comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera which operates at a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels. The camera is an effective snapshot camera but is not a camera which will take high resolution imagery.


An MP3 player and FM radio are integrated into this handset and therefore provide entertainment. The MP3 player will play all major forms of audio files whilst the radio provides the opportunity to listen to radio broadcasts from local and national radio stations.


The Green LG GB220 is a functional phone which offers functionality at a price. That price is affordability and as such its functionality is limited. However as a second handset or replacement handset this phone is a versatile and worthwhile addition to the LG range of phones.
