HTC have recently released on of their most desirable models to date. The Legend handset is crafted from a single piece of brushed aluminium for a unique finish. As well as appealing styling, the specifications are nothing short of stunning. Super fast web browsing, Android OS and touch screen navigation are all part of the HTC Legend package.

As you might expect from a phone of this calibre, several connectivity features are utilised to keep the Legend connected to cellular networks and the internet. In areas covered by 3G, a HSDPA connection provides an internet connection at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second, along with HSUPA at 2 mega bytes per second. Wi-Fi takes advantage of wireless internet routers where available to provide a faster internet connection at broadband speed, therefore offering an enhanced web browsing experience.

The Legend is equipped with an impressive digital camera boasting 5 mega pixels operating at a pixel resolution of 2592x1944 pixels for a high level of detail and clarity within the images. Several image enhancing features are provided to aid in taking good quality snapshots. These include autofocus and LED flash, so low lighting conditions are no problem. The camera can also shot video as an alternative method of image capture.

The dimensions of the HTC Legend are 112x56.3x11.5 and it weighs in at 126 grams. Its relatively light weight and slimline profile make the legend a pocket friendly handset which is also comfortable to hold and use on the go. As mentioned, it is finished in brushed aluminium for a sophisticated finish, so appeals to style conscious users who view their phone as a fashion statement.

A long list of features shows the HTC Legend's capabilities as a functional everyday handset. The OS of choice is Android v2.1 (Eclair), the latest version of the renowned user interface. A versatile media player supports a host of different music and video file formats, whilst a stereo FM radio player and a range of pre-installed games are provided to keep users entertained for hours on end. A document viewer, organiser and voice memo recorder are all included for productivity tasks.

Vibration and ringing are the available alert types with the HTC Legend, with the option to use MP3 and WAV music files as ringtones. Hands free talking is made possible thanks to speakerphone system and a 3.5mm audio jack which can accommodate hands free headsets as well as earphones for listening to music via the media player.

The AMOLED capacitive touch screen measures 3.2 inches and utilises a pixel layout of 320x480 to display up to 16M colours. This means the display quality is very high, and is therefore great for playing video files or viewing photos. An accelerometer sensor is built in allowing the screen content to automatically rotate based on the orientation of the phone. This allows the screen to be viewed in both landscape and portrait forms.

Given its list of key features and impressive unique design, it would come as no shock if the HTC Legend quickly became a flagship model for the manufacturer.
