Let's start with the keyboard. The HP Mini 2140 has a decent sized keyboard, yet entirely practical and comes with keys of the correct size. Where companies who sell small laptops chose for small button size, the HP Mini features comfort.

Next, there is the small screen, it can handle a resolution of up to 1024 x 576 pixels and for such a mobile laptop this leaves almost all competition behind. It is clear and gives a special touch.

Since we have just seen the two most visual parts of the small laptop, how about the exterior casing? The casing is made of solid-feeling aluminium instead of plastic, this makes it very rigid and definitely good for travelling. The aluminium may add some weight to the overall weight, but the laptop stays comfortable with a total weight under 3 pounds.

The Mini 2140 features a 1.6 Ghz core chip with 1 GB Ram and a serious 160 GB of free data-storage available. To gain connected to the internet it uses Gigabit Ethernet, WLAN and supports Bluetooth 2.0 as well. It also has a good VGA camera who'm gives excellent results and can be used for Skype. Furthermore, the HP Mini 2140 comes standard with Windows XP and contains a 30 day totally free version of Microsoft Office 2007. You probably didn't know, but using Windows XP on a laptop is alot better then the last version of Windows Vista. Doing so it makes sure you have loads of performance left other then using all needed resources for useless software.
