The Great Entertainers are Back with De Dana Dan

After Billu did a fair and commendable business in the market, Priyadarshan is heading back to square one with De Dana Dan. And guess what, he is not alone as he is bringing back his wild cards Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty and Paresh Rawal along in his next hilarious project christened De Dana Dan.

Well, many might think Akshay Kumar went through a detriment after the release of a big budget film Blue. Though the movie didn't click well for the soaring actor, but if you consider his track record in a comic role, then you'll see that the actor has a clean record akin to Priyadarshan himself. Suneil Shetty always gives a feel good moment to his movies and Paresh Rawal has brought comedy to a whole new level in the Bollywood film fraternity after Johnny Lever.

De Dana Dan is about Nitin (Akshay Kumar) and Ram (Suniel Shetty) who are only lucky in love and otherwise their life is a big zero as is their bank balance! But now their rich girlfriends, Anjali (Katrina Kaif) and Manpreet (Sameera Reddy) have given them an ultimatum to earn enough money so that they can elope. Or else forget them forever. Broke and desperate Nitin and Ram need to make big money and fast. They hit upon an audacious plan to kidnap Moolchandji, the spoilt dog of rich bitch Archana (Archana Puran Singh). But Moolchandji runs away, and the police think it's Nitin who's been kidnapped. As the guys try to get their hands on the ransom money, they encounter assorted characters like a Chinese Don, a hired assassin, an ACB officer, a club dancer, an ambassador, a young frustrated wife, a letch, a drunken waiter and a dead body nobody wants. What happens next is De Dana Dan as everything and everyone goes helter-skelter.

The storyline is a typical Priyadarshan comedy like all his earlier projects. To add to the films entertaining star cast, there is Katrina Kaif in the movie, who will be playing Akshay's love interest in the movie. Katrina is like a lucky charm for Akshay and both have produced blockbuster HIT movies before. Hot bodied Sameera Reddy will be seen paired opposite to Suneil Shetty.

The movie is stated to release on the 27th of November. Initially the movie was facing a menacing competition from Karan Johar's Kurban starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. The two films were supposed to battle it out on the same date, but the release dates have been altered. ‘Kurbaan' will come a week before, on 20th November, while ‘De Dana Dan' will stick to the date - 27th November.

The music of the film is composed by Pritam and RDB. RDB is now almost synonymous to all Akshay Kumar movies as their euphony has gained immense popularity.

Hit or Flop no one can assure, but its going to be one helluva laughter riot is what the movie pledges. And if we take notes from earlier Priyadarshan movies, we know that he is the best at what he does.
