Just like Reading and Leeds Festivals, V Festival is yet another grand celebration of music held in England during the bank holidays of August. It is hosted annually. First beginning in 1996, the event has since been hosted simultaneously in the cities of Chelmsford and South Staffordshire. Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, V Festival uses the same bills and artists who perform in one city on Saturday and move to the other on Sunday. Chelmsford organizes V Festival at Hylands Parks while South Staffordshire organizes it at Weston Park. It is sponsored by Virgin Media and hence, the ‘V’ of V Festival represents Virgin Group. V Festival is televised on 4 Music and Channel 4.
