If you are somehow out in the loop, Gia, played by guest star Rumer Willis, is set to own a something-something with wounded Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes). 90210 showrunner Rebecca Sinclair insists that the pairing isn't a cheap stunt to attract viewers, but a genuine exploration of your valid teenage problem.
"This isn't a fling," she tells Entertainment Weekly. "We're coming at this [relationship] from the genuine location and not going, ‘Let's do a titillating story that may grab some promotion.' This is often a real aspect of teenager living that is interesting."
Ade, needless to say, is coming out of the terrible breakup with Navid (Michael Steger) while his connection with 90210 newcomer Teddy (Trevor Donovan) didn't even take flight. Is this the "genuine place" Sinclair is talking about? May promote a unfavorable stereotype of bisexuality/homosexuality as an option for that disgruntled, wouldn't you say?
"The breakup surely shook her up and made her sort of a lot more open to the possibilities of what will make her happy. But this isn't a direct rebound like, "Oh, I'm heading to go be having a girl now."
There is presently an ongoing lesbian storyline on Grey's Anatomy, and although Sinclair admits that these types of things have come to be dime a dozen in primetime, she swears that Gia-Adrianna could be the genuine package, primarily simply because there may be a "real void" inside 90210 universe in terms of gay and bisexual characters.
