Stoves is renowned for manufacturing quality cookers at a very high standard but you might know them mostly for their range cookers. Stoves also present a number of freestanding 60cm ovens which are very popular, high quality appliances suitable for smaller kitchens. These are wonderful as, let's face it, many of us simply don't have the space for a rambling range cooker (no matter how appealing they look).

One popular freestanding range cooker from the brand is the Stoves 600SIDLM, a beautiful looking and very functional gas cooker which comes in a choice of silver or white.

At 60cm wide this appliance is suitable for most kitchens. Its aesthetics ensure the Stoves 600SIDLM isn't a sight for sore eyes in open plan living and dining areas.

This gas appliance conceals enamel pan supports beneath its glass hotplate lid. The lid is a great feature as it provides an extra kitchen surface for food preparation if you aren't using the hob. Gas hobs are a popular choice for top chefs as they are extremely responsive and allow for instant changes in heat. Electric hobs tend to respond more slowly.

The hob on this appliance has an SBS safety cut-off which means the appliance is safe to install in multiple occupancy buildings such as apartment blocks. This means the gas will be automatically turned off in the event of the flame being extinguished. This lessens the risk of a gas leakage which could potentially be catastrophic.

The Stoves 600SIDLM cooker is coated with Pristine Enamel. This particular coating has been created especially by Stoves to be three times easier to clean than standard enamel. Because the structure of the Pristine Enamel is more compact, the absorption of food residue is greatly reduced, making it possible to just wipe it clean. Its unique formulation also offers an inherent antibacterial quality which help keep your cooker clean and disease free - very important for families with young children.

The cooker has two cavities - the upper containing a variable gas grill. In the main oven you'll find a conventional gas oven. This set up offers a far higher level of convenience than single cavity ovens because it allows you to use the oven and grill at the same time, thus your cooking capacity is greatly increased. This increased cooking capacity is extremely beneficial to large or growing families who need the space to be able to cook larger quantities of food.
