The Sonim Landrover S1 Orange is a hardy phone with features and functions that are aimed at durability and consistent performance. The handset weighs 170 grams, which is down to the required strength and physical attributes of the material used in its manufacture. The handset is 119 mm x 56 mm wide and 25 mm thick. It is a work tool and is able to be used in harsh conditions that would leave many other handsets in an unusable state.

The display screen on this handset is a 1.77 inch TFT screen which is able to display 65,000 colours at a pixel resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. The screen is durable and shows imagery in a vibrant fashion with surprising clarity of image. The colour representation is excellent.

The phones durability is its main selling point. It is able to withstand a number of environmental situations and still function. Water resistance is a key element of this and the phone is able to be submerged for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 metre and still function normally.
