There are various Sky broadband offers available, and you should choose a package based on your needs, considering carefully what your usage patter will be. You can also rest assured that no matter what, there is a help service available to help solve your problems.

The Sky broadband network provides high speed broadband internet connections for UK households. They are owned by BskyB and therefore have the great backing of the Sky group of companies, which include Sky digital TV.

The Sky digital TV and Sky broadband UK services are offered in the UK and Ireland and provided entertainment to the many millions of people that live in those countries. The Sky broadband network began in 2006 and within a year was being used by over 1 million people, and by 2008 this had reportedly risen to 1.4 million. With this customer base, they are able to reach up to 70% of the UK’s homes, with plans to combine the broadband and Sky+ HD services, providing various on demand features.

There are various Sky Broadband Packages available to customers, with a great deal of choice and options available. These all include high speed connections and other great features and benefits to the customer, such as:

Up to 10 email address available to Sky email customers, giving great flexibility and freedom of use

A free wireless router, included in the broadband subscription package

McAfee online security, free for 12 months

A consistently high speed internet connection, with no dips or drops in speed at certain high traffic times of day

There are three package types available:

The base package, offering up to 2MB speeds

The mid range package, offering up to 8MB speeds

The max package, offering up to 16MB speeds

You can also get the base package for free when subscribing to the Sky talk package. If this is not the case, you will be charged a monthly fee for this package, as is the standard procedure with all the other packages.

In addition to offering a great service, if you are unfortunate enough to come across an issue, there is a great deal of help available on their website. There is a help section that allows customers to access online help articles to self diagnose and fix problems without the need to phone an engineer. This help section can help with connection issues, hardware issues, security concerns, or simply help with how to get their system working in the first place.

If this section cannot diagnose your problem, you can alternatively call the Sky broadband phone line and talk with a representative, and allow them to diagnose and fix your problem. This approach can sometimes be easier as you can specify the exact details of your problem, rather than simply following a generic help guide or online help service. Regardless of which method you use, you can always be sure that there will be a solution to your problem.
