Here are six of the most basic things that you need to remember if you are serious about taking care of your skin:

.) Go Sulfate free - sulfate or sodium lauryl sulfate is one of the main ingredients in most cosmetics being sold in the market today. It is also being used for other hair care products because it provides rich and lather foam. However, this particular chemical can cause dryness and permanent damage to your skin in the long run. I advise you to avoid using cosmetics that are using this chemical in order to prevent any further damage to your skin.

.) Exfoliate Skin Weekly – although our skin changes once every seven days, you still need to exfoliate your skin once every week in order to help your skin to better absorb tightening and firming products that you will be using.

.) Minimize Sun Exposure – although it is a great source of Vitamin D, too much exposure to the sun is one of the most common causes of skin damages. This is the reason why you are always being advised to use sun block with SPF protection to minimize your skin’s exposure to harmful UV rays.

.) Don’t Smoke – aside from burning a hole in your pocket, smoking is also a great contributor to skin aging. Smoking can dehydrate your skin and can make your skin color yellow, which is very unpleasing to anyone.

.) Use Silk and Satin for Bed Sheets – these products are better than cotton because these are much softer and smoother compared to cotton, which will surely minimize the development of wrinkles.

.) Avoid Weight Change – losing weight is not bad at all. In fact, you are being advised to lose weight in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. However, if you are going to lose and gain weight frequently, your skin will lose its elasticity and will dehydrate your skin, causing permanent and irreversible damage.
