Motorola unveiled it new slider phone in Korea. It is a sliding compatriot to accompany the ultra slim RAZR and the super thin SLVR. Developed by Moto's local team, the company has gone ahead and fulfilled the dreams of slider-loving RAZR fans. They decided to call it the Z. This slider cell phone has a RAZR-inspired design and will succeed the outgoing Motorola Z, or better known as the MX600.Originally the phone was conceived for the Korean market but now they plan to introduce it in other parts of the world too. This silver mobile phone is just a hair thicker than the RAZR V3. It is 14.8 mm thick and thus is one of the thinnest sliders in the world. The silver version looks very stylish and an elegant looking phone. This silver mobile phone is a CDMA device. Hopefully they will launch a GSM version too.

The phone is very much pitched at the super-technological Korean market.

Display

The front of this silver mobile phone is dominated by a 2.2 display screen with 262k color display. It is a QVGA (240x320 pixel) display. Just below the screen are the navigation buttons and the call and end buttons. Slide the phone and it reveals the key pad below. They keys can be keyed in easily with slim Korean fingers though the stubby hand westerners might find it a wee bit difficult.


Camera

There is an inbuilt 1.3 mega pixel digital camera and an MP3 player. It also has 128Mb of internal memory. The thin phone does not lack features regardless of its size.

With the introduction of this new phone Motorola will move into the slider market, currently dominated by Samsung and more recently Nokia.

Features

This skinny slider phone packs a lot of features .It is a poly phonic phone and as JAVA technology. It has a 2 hour talk time with 6 hour of standby time. If you were a fan of the RAZR then you will like the silver Z too as it is a stylish, sleek elegant phone. In fact a phone that you will love to hold and carry around.

Initially it will be available only in the Korean market. The expected price for Korea is between 500,000 won and 600,000 won (between 430 and 520 euro).
