Santa Wrote Me A Letter!

I remember when I found out Santa wasn't as real as I thought. I had woken up; thrilled that Santa had come, and ran into my living room which looked out into the backyard. Outside I could see that Santa had been walking around in my backyard and upon further inspection, outside, I was amazed that he had walked up the side of the house to the chimney! Being a kid and a smartass I said to my mom, "Oh, Santa did do that. It was probably you or Dad." Of course I believed it was Santa. My mom got so upset and replied, "Your dad worked really hard on that!" I can still feel the devastation I felt. My point is we need to keep their imagination alive while we can. Nothing beats thinking about those magical things and writing your own stories in your head.

I recently came across an idea that I would have loved to have as a kid. A personal letter from Santa that is written just for the child! It's a downloadable kit where you can create all kinds of different looking letters, meaning you can change the appearance of the letter year after year and they can look forward to what it's going to look like Christmas morning. Can you imagine waking up in the morning to see they face drop open when they see Santa left a letter telling them exactly what they had been talking about a few weeks or even the night before?

You could also mail the letter for your child so that they can expect it to be coming in the mail. Getting your own mail, especially from Santa, when you are a kid is so exiting. I used to get the odd kid magazine and I always felt pretty important when it came. If it had been from Santa - well I would have felt insanely important.

I think that this idea is so cool and it should become a worldwide tradition. To find out more about what you can do with these Santa letters go to http://tinyurl.com/santas-station

Whatever you do, keeping your child's imagination working is fun and important. It makes memories for the rest of their lives, and yours.
