As far as the design is concerned, F480 at par with Armani's phone. In fact, when we look at the Flash UI and performance, F480 leaves the designer brand far behind. The LG KU990 Viewty, is another rival featuring almost the same functionality but this one is chunkier as compared to F480. However people particular about imaging will prefer LG KU 990 due to a better camera and video recording.

The phones image quality is excellent but like every other Samsung phone screen's legibility goes bad when exposed to sunlight making this magnificent piece of technology almost impossible to use on a sunny day. On the other hand phone's touchscreen sensitivity is decent. F480's user interface is the thing to talk about. The phone boasts the award winning Croix UI giving the users more lively and colorful experience. Adding on to it is the widgets that can customized. So with this phone you can have your own unique home page.

An FM radio with RDS is another catchy feature about the phone. RDS represents the highest class of radios that we've got on phones. Furthermore it has intuitive controls and track recognition feature like that of Sony Ericsson's TrackID. Even the other multimedia features and functionality are good except the video player because of its limited compatibility.

Next in line is the phone's commendable 5 megapixels camera with high end features such as wide dynamic range, face detection and anti-shake. It also has a LED flash it is not that accountable. A great camera should always be tuned with good connectivity and sharing options. Following the same rule are the phones connectivity options such as USB and Bluetooth. In addition the phone has 3G with HSDPA speed and GPRS for browsing internet on the go. EDGE is also there for back-up. One minus point is that it misses a Wi-fi which off course is heart breaking.

F480's web browser is brilliant with two view modes. Although the rich desktop like appearance is great but it's quite annoying when you needs endless scrolling. The usage of the volume rocker for changing size of pages while browsing is a smart and handy concept. A mini map for easy web navigation is also praise worthy. Overall web browsing is real ease.

Overall samsung F480 is a winner, however if Samsung would have paid attention to the above unwanted flaws the result could have been better or should I say path breaking.
