After watching the latest episode of Grey's Anatomy I'm thinking of getting all of my medical procedures done in Canada. You want to talk about a healthcare crisis, just turn off FOX News and watch 5 seconds of this show.

Mark and Lexie's relationship becomes strained by his estranged daughter moving in, while Mark tries to play daddy to his daughter who is pregnant. During the ultrasound on Sloan's daughter, Cristina finds some disturbing news and tells Mark his daughter needs surgery, causing Sloan's inner daddy to come out. This pushes his relationship with Lexie past the breaking point and ends up being one of the million "defining moments" of the episode when they break up. This causes Lexie to run into the arms of another man, and she ends up sleeping with Alex while drinking from a wine bottle...Canada here I come!

Meanwhile Cristina is assigned to lead a complicated heart valve surgery on the most annoying patient in the history of patients. Cristina, who is anxious to prove herself but suffering from some insecurities, is pushed to the brink during the operation as she struggles to keep the patient alive while calling for help. Assistance does not arrive as Teddy sits back reading a magazine and uses this as a teachable moment. The patient almost dies but who cares! Yang ends up learning a valuable lesson and gains some much needed confidence.

While all of this drama is taking place Derek ends up treating Seattle's star quarterback…Seattle having a star quarterback?? This really is a fictional drama now isn't it? Anyway, the guy ends up telling Derek he's scared to play just two years into his career and Derek decides to effectively end his career by doing a knee replacement surgery. At the end of the episode Meredith ends up telling Derek that the head honcho Richard is drinking again. The saga continues.
