Kuala Lumpur, also known as KL, is a beautiful city with approximately1.6 million inhabitants, set in the heart of Malaysia. The city both suffers and benefits from a longstanding rivalry with Singapore, whereby both cities compete with each other to be the superior destination. The City Centre

The Merdeka Square, Sultan Abdul Samad Building and Selangor Club can all provide a snapshot of the past. Kuala Lumpur’s Chinese commercial centre, more commonly known as Chinatown, is a hive of activity, with its numerous restaurants and street vendors serving some of the most amazing food on the planet.

The Golden Triangle

This is the busiest shopping zone in KL, as well as the financial centre of the city. Here you’ll find designer outlets, unique boutique stores and high end restaurants using the finest ingredients in Southeast Asia. Public transport to this district is simple, as the Golden Triangle is the hub of almost every bus or rail service.

One of the key attractions of this area is the Aquaria KLCC. This enormous aquarium houses over 5000 varieties of tropical fish, octopuses and all the underwater nasty’s you could ever want to behold - sharks, piranha and jellyfish to name but a few. Or, for the budding scientist or enthusiast, Petrosains can offer an eye opening insight into the world of petrol production and the technology that makes the industry work.

Of course, there’s no way you can forget to visit the KL Tower. This location offers an amazing view of the city that has to be seen to be believed. Prices are reasonable and multimedia presentations provide visitors with an in depth experience of the city. And for the adrenaline junkies, the opportunity to bungee jump from a 421 metre building is one that should not be passed up. But for those with more gentile tastes, the revolving restaurant can offer some of the best views and most refined food in Kuala Lumpur.

There’s something for everyone to do in this unique, sprawling city and time spent here will be an experience you’ll never forget.
