Power Rangers Costumes make for FUN Play Time!

I bet if you listen to your little boys-if they're anything like mine- you hear them say the words "Power Rangers" several times a day. That is because the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are still incredibly popular!

I remember being a tween when the show first came out. I've always been young at heart and even then, though I may not of been the ideal demographic, I loved that show! I watched it every mornign before school. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers had everything from great theme music to fantastic, larger-than-life "Zords" that came together to destroy the villain at the end of each show. There is no wonder that my kids love this, because I sure did. It's hard to believe, but these Power Rangers have had plenty of incarnations and are still going strong.

When I learned that my boys were into this show, I took the opportunity to conduct father and son play time using this show as an impetus. I knew enough to seem like a "cool dad," and genuinely enjoyed learning about all the things that had changed since I last knew of the show. It didn't take long; I watched a few epsiodes with my giddy kids and we had a spectacular time and more so, I was hooked yet again.

I've had a wonderful time playing Power Rangers with my kids. Sometimes I am a power ranger with them, and other times I play a nasty villain that they have to seek out and fight. I always encourage them to work as a team, which is also an important lesson as well as just plain old fun. I encourage you to have play time with your kids, listening to their interests and taking part in those things they have a fondness for. It has been very rewarding for me, and I'm sure it will be for you too.
