Did you know that there are several ways to go about making things for people? You can get fused glass supplies and do it the classy way, or you can do the boring way that everyone expects. Imagine giving people coffee cups mugs as gifts but instead of ceramics, they are made out of blown glass. Not only will they look much cooler, they will look a lot more unique. That is why you just need to find the right place to get all the supplies for the task.

If there is a signature on the piece, then you can rest assured that it is not authentic Native American pottery. American Indians did not sign their artwork, and people that truly collect art know this. That is the easiest thing to spot. The next thing that you need to watch out for is perfection. If the piece looks very new and doesn't have any flaws, then it is probably not real. The pieces that have survived can be in good shape, but if there is not a scratch or a chip in the paint, you probably don't have a real piece.

Many people avoid getting fused glass supplies because they are not sure that they can handle the art. While this is understandable because it sounds intimidating, it is really not something that you have to worry about. The art of blowing and cutting glass has been done for years, and with the modern tools it is something that can be done very quickly and easily. This will allow you to truly express yourself and come up with some very complicated and challenging designs. It is worth the effort and the time involved, because it is really such a soothing thing to do.

So while it can be nice to invest in lessons, if you really want to be making pottery quickly, you should teach yourself. The amount of experience that you get from making your first bowl will be worth the amount of money that you would pay for a couple month's worth of lessons. The only thing you need to do is worry about getting the supplies for very cheap.
