Politics on Kandahar

It is very unfortunate that we are raising again the issue like Kandahar in 15th Loksabha election 2009. Go back at that time on 24 December 1999, more than 150 people are being held hostage by Pakistani Militants. The hijackers demanded the release of 36 pro-Kashmiri militants from Indian jails. There was a deep crisis for BJP Lead Government who called up all party meeting to discuss about the issue. All the parties were unanimously agreed that the main objective is to secure the lives of all the Indian people who were present in the plane. No to analyze the situation one must easily understand the difficulties of the Government. There was no other way to take any military or commando action at that time. That would have been more dangerous for the passengers. So whatever the decision made by that time by BJP Lead Government was 100% correct.

Now the question is after such a long time why Cong and other parties are raising this issue in the election? So if congress party feels that BJP Leaders did the mistakes, than why they were quiet at the time of the incident. Why they did not told to the government that we have no issue with the lives of 150 Indian people. Let them go die. They can talk about week security issue but they cannot blame either Advani or Vajpayee or Mr. Yaswant Sing for the Kandahar Issue. We must understand that at that time Afghanistan was in full control of Taliban. And the relation between Taliban and Pakistan was friendly. It was really difficult and risky to send troops and commandos to Kandahar. There is no question of weakness or Lack of Willingness of the Government. They did whatever they should do.

It creates anger and Disappointment when we see cong is blaming Lal Kirsna Advani for the Kandahar Incident after such a long time. The worst political drama has been played again at the cost of Country’s Pride, Courage and Sovereignty. Cong and other parties are trying to down India in front of the international field. We must remember that the success of killing the terrorist in the Mumbai Attach recently comes at the cost of the lives of almost 150 to 200 people. What answer Cong will give to the country at this time? We have the capabilities of fighting against every possible attack and take the challenges but sometimes the situation becomes more critical when we do that act by our brain. There should not be any Dirty Politics or Selfish act by any political party, when the question comes on the interest of India and its People.
