One of the most beautiful and amazing weddings of 2000 was of course the one of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. The couple met in 1998 on a blind date. This wasn’t just a set up because it wasn’t organised by friends like usually but by Brad’s and Jennifer’s agent. After living with actor Tate Donovan for 2 years and breaking up in 1998, her agent thought it would be a great idea to set her up with someone else, that someone would become Brad. It is still unclear why Brad couldn’t just pick a phone and ask her out.

The couple dated for 2 years before getting married on the 29th of July 2000. The wedding took place in Marcy Carsey’s Mansion in Malibu and it has been said that this was a $1 million wedding. Not only was the price of the wedding to be remembered but it also included 200 guests, four bands, over 45,000 flowers, a gospel Choir and Fireworks. The vows they took were quite unique too; Jennifer vowed to make Brad’s favourite Banana Split and Brad vowed to always take care of the thermostat.

Jennifer invited 3 out of her 5 “Friends” co-stars; Courtney Cox, David Shwimmer and Lisa Kudrow. Other guests present were: Cameron Diaz, Edward Norton, Salma Hayek and Melissa Etheridge.

Brad Pitt designed both their wedding bands, they were matching and made out of white gold with a diamond in them.

Neither Brad or Jennifer were married before this wedding, however Brad was engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow in 1996, but their engagement was short-lived and ended in 1997.

We all know how this wedding ended. Brad and Jennifer divorced in 2005, the house got sold in February and Jennifer took her maiden name again in August. Brad ended up with Angelina Jolie, who he hasn’t yet married.
