To those who may not be aware, RingCentral Mobile is an iPhone application that provides access to your RingCentral voicemails and faxes and provides a host of other features including:

  • The RingCentral number will be displayed as the Caller ID when making business calls

  • You can add, edit and dial both personal and business contacts

  • You can view, play and call back voicemails with visual voicemail

  • Enables you receive, send and view Internet faxes


But please know that RingCentral will only work with an existing RingCentral account. All existing RingCentral customers can straightaway download the free app from the iTunes App Store and login using your RingCentral number and password.

RingCentral Mobile is an iPhone application that allows a RingCentral number to be used with a customer's personal iPhone. This lends the iPhone greater functionality, virtually turning it into a mobile office.

You can connect your home and office with a single toll free or local number and have all your calls answered and/or redirected to virtual extensions by a professional auto-receptionist. With RingCentral highly efficient call management system provides time-of-day routing and answering rules. You can connect callers to remote offices and employees quite easily giving you the feeling they are all in the same building.


RingCentral Mobile lets you project a corporate business image to your clients. You can simply select a toll free business number, set up your auto-receptionist, company greeting and call forwarding, all from your iPhone. You can activate your business phone system and toll free number from your iPhone instantly without any external help. Your business phone system- complete with 60 toll free minutes each month- is available to you absolutely free.

It is a fact that RC Mobile is free. However, making outgoing calls from your iPhone uses your RingCentral minutes and both inbound and outbound calls count toward your wireless plan minutes and thus payable accordingly. Please know that for the time being, RingCentral is only available for the iPhone and not for other platforms.

As regards logging into your account - you will be prompted to enter your RingCentral number and password when RC Mobile is launched for the first time. After successfully logging into your account, you can begin using RC Mobile. You can also view your call log by selecting the Recents tab within RC Mobile. If a number is contained within your Contacts list, then the name of that contact shall appear instead of the actual number.


Voicemail and fax messages are directly accessible from RC Mobile. When you launch RC Mobile, messages are automatically downloaded to your iPhone and stored in the Messages tab. Within the Messages tab you will be able to view when a message was received, the sender's name or phone number, the length of the message, and whether it is a fax message type or voicemail.

Selecting a message will allow you to play the audio voicemail or view the fax document. You can also retrieve messages for a different extension by re-logging into RC Mobile using the specific extension you wish to access. There is also the facility to sort out your messages. You can sort your messages by either sender or by date. To sort you messages, you can select the Sender|Date button on the top of your Messages screen to sort your messages.
