How to cook the leg of lamb
When preparing the meat, make sure that you take off the excess fats of the lamb leg. Then create small slits at the side. Put a couple of garlic at the slits then brush the lamb leg with the vegetable oil. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit before putting in the meat on the roasting rack. Wait for at least 15 minutes.
While waiting for the meat to cook, prepare the ingredients for the glaze. In a small pan, put in the peach syrup. Then add the cornstarch, sherry, brown sugar, butter, lemon, and allspice. Keep on stirring until the sauce thickens. Once you have reached the desired consistency you can now take it from the stove and spread it on the meat. Put the lamb leg back to the oven and set it to 135 degrees Fahrenheit. By the time that your lamb leg is done, do not slice in the meat yet. Serve it after 20 minutes.
But you can also have other dishes using the lamb leg as the main ingredient. More often than not, it involves roasting to ensure that the whole side of the leg will be cooked evenly. So complete your festive occasion by serving lamb leg on the table!
