The Nokia E62 boasts a vibrant and large 2.8-inch, 16 million colors Widescreen QVGA color display, Full QWERTY keyboard with backlight, integrated mp3 media player, micoSD memory expansion card, and exhaustive range of connectivity options. The casing of the E62 is mostly metal, with plastic trim around the docking connector and ear-piece. It feels quite rugged in its construction, and the aluminum skin has a brushed feel that gives it traction. The device supports quad-band GSM, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and the following services: Good, MS Direct Push, BlackBerry Connect, XpressMail. It is powered by Symbian 9.1 OS running on a 235 MHz processor, 32 MB RAM, a slot for miniSD cards, a QVGA LCD and a QWERTY-keyboard. Though very slim, the E62 is wide to accommodate the thumb keyboard and tall to fit the large display above that keyboard. It dwarfs the Cingular 3125, but fits in nicely with the Palm Treo 700p / 700w, T-Mobile MDA (Cingular 8125), BlackBerry 8700g and other keyboarded smartphones and PDA phones.

The E61 has support for the European 3G networks, while the E62 does not support any 3G. The E61 has Wi-Fi, while the E62 doesn't. On the brighter side, the E62 dispenses with the proprietary Nokia "Pop Port" for audio and USB, substituting standard mini-USB and 2.5mm audio connectors In addition the Nokia E62 smartphone has integrated MP3 media player supporting MP3 / AAC / AAC+ / eAAC+ WMA audio formats. The E62 mobile phones browser does a first-rate job of rendering Web pages meant for larger screens, though load times weren't that impressive on Cingular's EDGE network (the E62 does not support the carrier's broadband-like HSDPA network). Cingular customers can use the Nokia E62 device whether they are taking it to the other side of town, across the country or halfway around the world.

Whether they're business people or consumers, Nokia E62 device users will have a variety of popular secure email platforms from which to choose.
