Mosunmola Abudu “A success story worth telling”

Initially having her roots in Ondo Town, her birthplace is in London in Hammersmith hospital with the date recorded as on September 1964. Mosunmola Abudu is the eldest amongst the three daughters of Lawrence Akintunde couple. she left London and went to live with her grand parents, in the South Western part of Nigeria at the age of six .after the death of her father She returned back k to London and attended her college at Mid Kent College, Ridgeway School and West Kent College and got her post graduate degree from the Westminster University in London.

As a Recruitment Consultant Mosunmola Abudu started her professional career in 1987 in a UK based consultancy firm known as Atlas Recruitment. The Starform Group, UK hired her in 1990 to take the authority of the post of Corporate Credit Management Exhibition. In 1993, she was head hunted by Arthur Andersen this time. She was assigned the post of in charge of Human Resources and Training for Esso Exploration & Production Nigeria Limited (Exxon) and served till the year 2000. When asked why she left Exxon Mobile at the peak of her career, Abudu says, “I had a dream. I wanted to create and do my own thing.”


Being a reputed Human resource specialist Mosunmola Abudu decided to establish a privately-owned specialist human resources development company known as Vic Lawrence & Associates Limited commonly known as VLA. With this advantage she steered VLA her through numerous critical paths of development and nowadays it’s amongst the most successful and fastest growing consultancy on people management Nigerian owner Nigeria and having a Nigerian owner. The conceptualization and building of Oakwood Park, The Protea Hotel situated along the Lekki Expressway, dated on August 2004, situated in Lagos was really a significant achievement by her.

Her stepping out of US based oil agent helped her stepping in the media world. Mo says that she went to media for seeking positive changes over in overall areas of the African, including the Nigerian life.
