Mo Abudu is a vivid instance of modern women

Mo Abudu was born in 1964 in Hammersmith hospital which is in London. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Akintunde. When she was just 7 her family went to Lagos which is in Nigeria and therefore she was sent to Ondo State where she started to live with her Grand mother. During this period she came to know about her native culture of Africa and her background. Though it was very challenging to her to adopt the African culture at this very young age, yet she did it very skillfully. At the age of 11 she started her secondary education Fiwasaye Girls Grammar School in Ondo State. She was reared up by her grand parents who were the farmers of cocoa beans.

At the age of 12 Mon Abudu unfortunately lost her father and once again came back to UK and took admission in Hammersmith Country Secondary School. After one year she took admission in Ridgeway School in Kent. After completing her secondary education Mo Abudu went to West Kent College and then Mid Kent College. She completed her M.A. in HR Management from the University of Westminster. Gradually she became extremely ambitious as she practiced her hands in so many different things and became skillful in all those matter.


Mo Abudu started her professional career in 1987 as a Recruitment Consultant in the Atlas Recruitment in UK. Within few years she got the position of Branch Manager. She was then appointed by the famous Starform Group which is a successful business information group to manage the celebrated Corporate Credit Management Exhibition from 1990 to 1992. Mon Abudu got a huge success in this challenging field.

In 1993 Mon Abudu returned to Nigeria, armed with the experiences and skills which she has gained and enriched herself. Here she was appointed by Arthur Andersen for ExxonMobil as the head of their Human Resources and Training unit. By 2000, successfully completing her responsibility she gave her resignation to ExxonMobil with the ambition to start VLA and took the Nigerian business to 21st century. While running VLA successfully as a Managing Director she added another milestone to her career by successfully commissioning of the Protea Hotel in Oakwood Park in the year 2004.
