Whether you love it or hate it, I promise you can't find a more higher grossing vampire movie or vampire movie series than Twilight! Yes, I said it… Feel free to pummel me in the comments, but "Twilight" is the reason why the "Vampire" business is so hot right now. TV, movies, books, and even websites are going gaga for Vampire movies.
Anyways…
I'm on a mission to find out "what is the best vampire movie of all time?"
But how do you pick? By money, hottest chics, most traffic, most blogged about…
Kristen Stewart DEFINITELY doesn't win hottest chic award, however, she is sexy in her own way with that long, thick, dark hair. Even though I REFUSE to call it the "best vampire movie ever made," Twilight is winning in every category I can think of…

10 Most Blogged About Vampire Movies

This info was kind of hard to find so I just picked the most common top picks from all the other blog posts with "best vampire movie" lists…

1. Let the Right One In (2008)
2. Near Dark (1987)
3. Blade Series
4. Fright Night (1985)
5. Underworld Series
6. The Lost Boys (1987)
7. Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
8. Interview with the Vampire (1994)
9. Nosferatu (1922)
10. From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
Honorable mentions go to "Vampires" by James Woods and "30 Days Of Nights" by David Slade. Interesting to note, is that "Twilight" did not make it onto ANY of the favorite vampire movie lists!
Twilight, just doesn't really make the vampire movie cut because it's more of a teen love story, especially with the first book. We'll see what happens after "New Moon" and the Volturri get introduced. Although, right now Twilight does NOT have the die hard vampire movie fans seal of approval.

So Who Wins?
After all the research I did to make this post I have to say that "Blade" and the "Blade Series" are the best vampire movies. They rank high on every list except for sex appeal and have had one of the longest periods of love from vampire movie fans across the world. It's not my favorite, but, it appears to be the one that every die hard vampire fan has an affection for with Underworld coming in as a close second.

My Top Five Vampire Movies
1. Dracula 2000
2. Queen Of The Damned
3. Interview With The Vampire
4. From Dusk Till Dawn
5. Vampires

I'm in love with Vampire folk lore and the powers they have, their weaknesses, their timeline, all that stuff. I like the movies that really get into the story of how vampires came to be and what they are, but From Dusk Till Dawn just kicks so much damn ass that I have to include it in my list.

I'm a little embarassed to say that I haven't watched Near Dark, Fright Night, Let The Right Ones In, and some of the other classics. You can bet your ass that I will be renting them ASAP though. I'll let you know how I feel about them in a future post.
I want to know which are your favorites though so that's today's question of the day…
