Legally Blonde the Musical London is featured at the Savoy Theatre. The show has made quite the splash with many Londoners, with a star cast of performers bringing characters to life in a refreshingly funny, lighthearted, and joyful way.

Legally Blonde the Musical is derived from the blockbuster, Legally Blonde which starred seppo actress Reece Witherspoon. In the story, Elle Woods is a blonde beauty who only thinks of her college sweetheart and shopping. Most of Elle's belongings are pink and she has this adorable little Chihuahua, she's named Bruiser of all things. Elle's beau Warner, who turns out to be a real toss-pot, dumps Elle for a lassie that is book smart. Elle decides to go to Law School to prove she is not gormless, eventually realizing she possesses more than just looks and that there are more important aspects of life than having dosh and going shopping.

Elle the striking blonde gaffe Coming Queen turned Harvard; student is played by Susan McFadden. Some of the other main characters are, Elle's love interest, Warner Huntingdon III played by Duncan James, dingy Paulette Buonufonte the beautician played by Denise Van Outen, delivery man and romantic interest of Paulette, Kyle played by Chris Ellis-Stanton, and Peter Davison.

Susan McFadden had previously played as Elle's sorority sister Selena, and has starred in Grease at the Piccadilly Theatre. Sheridan Smith, who starred as the gorgey blonde before retiring last year, played in telly roles on Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Duncan James used to be a member of the laddy band Blue and is set to be host of Sky 1's Summer School Musical. Jill Halfpenny, who had performed as Paulette, was the 2004 winner of Strictly Come Dancing, and Peter Davison was the star of the Dr. Who tele series.

The whole cast portrays their characters in such a cheerful, upbeat, and creative way. The entertainers really show that they are having fun performing in the production, bringing their own humour to the role, and easily making transformations from being comedic to becoming more serious.

The performers' singing, dancing, and the added humour leave the audience, tapping their plates of meat to the song tunes and laughing at the numerous antics of the stars. With an amazing array of colour, sleek costumes, and tunes that make yeh want to sing along, Legally Blonde the Musical London is not to be missed by any London theatre lovers.
