Children are the bright future in every context. They are the hope of the present generation and the pride of the past. It is the hope that every child will have the right to learn and experience the wonders of the world. This makes it very important to teach them arts education as early as possible.

Recently, art and child advocates such as The Foundation For Promoting Arts Education and various non-government organizations from {Northern California came up with a big plan. They wanted to launch a school building project composed of two phases; namely Redding School of the Arts and The North State Children's Theater Project. Moreover, the ideal of making it a LEED certified childrens theater will embody a shining example for showcasing performance art and bring needed focus to the growing concern of environmental sustainability.

The McConnell Foundation with a contract through Trilogy Architecture has graciously started the ambitious project with a generous grant that is building the first phase of the project, the Redding School of the Arts, and targets 2011 as its launching date. Its organizers plan to pass LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental design) certification, which is given only to building projects that exemplify green-built architecture and undertake the mantel of environmental-responsibility towards an eco-friendly environment.

The LEED childrens theater will serve as a fundamental catalyst for children to express and appreciate the performing arts and be a platform for the arts for the community at large. The Arts should be cultivated in children during the formative years so as to better understand the role of arts in the world and society as a whole. This LEED children's theater, once it is built, will be a benchmark in children's theaters and eco-friendly {buildings|architecture}.

However, this green-built architecture project requires more support from not only its local community but the eco-minded world at large in order for it to become a reality and to pass revered LEED certifications. Though certification for LEED platinum sustainability certification appears to be a rigorous process, nothing is impossible if more corporations and concerned people will support the project. This is a lifetime opportunity to the children of the North State as well as future generations of this Northern California community.

This LEED childrens theater can be a wondrous outlet for expression for a community. Youth Art involvement within a community can be a proactive measure from negative habits and bad influences from society at large. The Performing Arts can be the medium in teaching children how to appreciate life more. Support us and donate today and be part of building a shining stage for the children of tomorrow and the environment today.
