Washington, D.C. (February 9, 2011) – DC’s hottest R&B Artist Kyonté live on Fox 5 DC Morning Show February 18, 2011. Tune in to WTTG between 9:00am and 10:00am for an interview and live performance by Kyonté. Kyonté is a nominee of the Washington Area Music Association’s 25th Annual “Wammie” Awards and will be competing for Urban Contemporary Vocalist and Urban Contemporary Recording.

His current CD project 831 Vol: 1 “What’s That Sound?” is available on Kyonté.com, iTunes and many other sites. This pristine package of love allows the listener to invade, quietly peeking inside the mind and world of Kyonté. According to Kyonté, love is ambiguous, and his work as depicted in 831, captures the various aspects of love. Hey Baby is a personal favorite but What’s That Sound, Do That Thing You Do, So In Love With You, Body Shop and Change all keep one pressing repeat. So In Love With You is a timeless hit. That song will be played and sang by other artists 50 years from now. You know it’s good when you refuse to let the changer go to the next CD. Kyontѐ’s music is like a drug, once you hear it, you’ll be hooked.

Kyonté is a seasoned emerging artist with exposure around the international music scene. A singer, songwriter, producer, musician, and well rounded entertainer, he is well on his way to becoming a national icon of American music. We would be remised if we did not include a few of his many accolades and career highlights. His most recent production work include Grammy award winning E1 Music recording artist Faith Evans (2010 Something About Faith CD) song titles "Way You Move", "Worth It" and "Your Lover", Grammy nominated Verve recording artist Ledisi (2009 Turn Me Loose CD) song titles "Everything Changes" and "Trippin", and Grammy nominated Jive recording artist Raheem DeVaughn (song titled "Woman") which he co-produced with super producer Chucky Thompson.

Kyonté recently completed a European tour as a background vocalist with Jive recording artist Raheem DeVaughn, a USO European Tour, the 2010 Budweiser Superfest tour in the U.S. and continues to perform as a background vocalist with Raheem.
