Aside form Yuko System, Ionic Hair Retexturising is also one of the latest Japanese hair straightening techniques, it locks in moisture and nutrients during the ironing process, to improve the condition as well as straighten the hair. However, It works best on non-chemically treated hair. Treatment lasts up to 6 months depending on the growth rate of your hair. Retouch available for new growth and refreshing the original treatment.
From the word 'Ion' - IHR process uses negative ions of water that are small enough to break in the hair shaft, ensuring the hair retains its water content and is not dried or damaged by the treatment process.

IHR is more complicated than Yuko system, It doesn't matter how curly or frizzy your hair was as long as it has not been chemically treated As results will vary It could also work on coloured hair although you should leave it at least two weeks after (or before) colouring.
Take Note: The entire process takes a few hours depending upon how frizzy / curly/ thick / long your hair is to start off.
