Although Mondays are often one of the most difficult work days to get through because it is the beginning of the week, we now have some great television to look forward to, to get you through the day. Whether you like comedy, drama, crime or a combination of these, Mondays are sure to keep your DVR spinning as it tries to keep up with all of the great content. Below are some great new shows that you will want to make sure to catch.

The Event (9 pm EST on NBC)
A new show that is receiving quite a bit of hype on NBC is the drama The Event. Sean Walker (Jason Ritter) is a everyday man who is on a romantic cruise with his girlfriend Leila (Sarah Roemer) and about to propose to her when she mysteriously vanishes. Sean is determined to find her and in the process uncovers one of the largest government cover-ups in US history. There are so many layers of story and drama in this show that there is no clear understanding of what The Event is. This is one that I would recommend checking out if you are into conspiracy and drama.

Lone Star (9 pm EST on Fox)
Bob Allen (James Wolk) is your typical con man who leads two separate lives in Texas. In one of his lives he lives with his wife Cat (Adrianne Palicki), who is the daughter of an extremely wealth oil tycoon. Bob spends a great deal of time trying to impress Cats father in order to ensure that he is in line to take over the family oil business. One life of course is not enough for Bob as he also spends time with his girlfriend Lindsey (Eloise Mumford) in Midland. Bob spends most of his time in Midland scamming unknowing investors out of their hard earned money to which Lindsey is not aware of. Bob will be forced to make a decision when Cats father offers the oil business to him. Does he want to settle down with Cat or does he want to continue to lead his two separate lives believing that he loves both women? Will he be a con man forever or will his desire for a real life win him over? This looks to be a very interesting drama.

Mike & Molly (9:30 pm EST on CBS)

The television comedy is a difficult one to master. Sometimes the producers think they have a hit on their hands and it ends up not going over well when it hits the airwaves. Mike & Molly is another show trying to find its way as a great new romantic situational comedy. Molly Flynn (Melissa McCarthy) is a single fourth grade teacher who is looking for love and finds it at an Overeaters Anonyms meeting. Mike Biggs (Billy Gardell), who is a police officer, is taken with Molly at their first meeting as well. Can these seemingly normal individuals find themselves, and each other? This show is produced by Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory) and Mark Roberts (The Big Bang Theory) which gives it a great chance at success.

Hawaii Five-O (10 pm EST on CBS)
Although the characters are the same, this is not the Hawaii Five-O that premiered back in 1968. This Hawaii Five-O will still follow all of your favorites like Det. Danny Danno Williams (Scott Caan) and Det. Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) but the storylines and the action will be ramped way up. The pilot provided a excellent preview into what is to come this year. If you love action on television then this show is definitely for you!
