In A Forest Dark and Deep is a dark comedy which is scheduled to begin showing at the Vaudeville Theatre in London on March 3, 2011. Press night is scheduled for March 14. The show will run until June 4, 2011. Shows will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. There will also be shows at 3:00 on Wednesday and Saturday. There will be no shows on Sunday.

This show is a two-hander about siblings Bobby and Betty. Bobby is a carpenter and Betty is a university dean. Bobby is at Betty's cabin in the woods on a stormy night to help her clean it out for some possible renters. That is all Bobby intends to do but nothing is the way it seems in this cabin. Betty is hiding something and Bobby may not want to find out the truth. This truth is something which cannot remain hidden or be conveniently put away. Mysteries and secrets come into the open during the course of the play. This is a mystery, a thriller, a family drama and a dark comedy. Issues in the play include family dysfunction, conflict between men and women, sibling rivalry and class. The play escalates from a dark comedy into a thriller full of fierce conflict. It shows how hard it is for some people to go through their lives without concealing themselves beneath a cloak of lies.

Bobby is played by Matthew Fox and Betty is played by Olivia Williams. The play is written and directed by Neil LaBute. It is suitable for adults and children age 12 and up.

The Vaudeville Theatre is in the West End of London. This air conditioned theatre has 690 seats. It is on Strand near Covent Garden and Charing Cross. Parking is available at the NCP at Upper St. Martins Lane and Masterpark at Trafalgar Square. The two closest underground and rail stops are Charing Cross and Embankment. A number of bus routes stop close to the theatre.
