How to Support a Mommy Blogger

I can honestly say until a year ago I had no idea what a blogger even was, and now I realize there are all types of bloggers. They share very useful information about topics they are experts in or their personal interests. Their articles, or what you would call a post, are written on a personal website or they write for other sites and they are otherwise known as a guest author.

I have learned, in the nine months I've been blogging, that I fit into the category of a Mommy Blogger. There isn't a clear cut definition of a Mommy blogger, but I can share with you what I utilize my site for a as a blogger. I share about my family life, experiences I've had that may be hopeful helpful to others, reviews on different products that I used or dislike, and the list goes on.

The Mommy Bloggers (aka Mousewives or DigiMoms) out there, including myself, can use all the support we can get. The information that some of us have to share is very useful to those needing it. The internet and Google in general is a very complex to us bloggers and there's a true science to reaching that first page of Google when a reader is searching for information on a topic. That is where you as a reader, friend, or family member can help and here is how.

•If your on the net you have an email address and when you send out emails you end it with your name. Offer to place a link in your signature line for her, which would look something like this:
Thanks, Sherry

•Visit the site on a regular basis and give her feedback. If something doesn't sound right or is misspelled it can effect her credibility. So be helpful. A second set of eyes really helps.

•Refer her to people you meet at work or in the community who are looking for someone with her skills.

1.In this situation a new Mom would benefit greatly from a Mommy Blogger, and once that new Mom plugs into a group of them on the internet then she's got a whole new set of Moms with answers to her questions.

2.Furthermore, a Mommy Blogger has a variety of talents. Heck she's got a website doesn't she, so computer work might be right up her alley.

3.Also pay close attention to what she writes about, because she obviously has knowledge about that topic or else she wouldn't write about it.

•Subscribe to her blog(s) and encourage other family members to do the same. The more readers she has to show, the more she can charge for her advertising space and for product reviews if she has either of those.

•Forward her links to people if you read something she's written that they may like.

•Ask her if there's anything else you can do to support her work. Maybe you have something of interest that you'd like to write about and share. Hey then you'd be considered a "guest author!"

•When shopping on-line do the best you can to go through a blog. Blogs contain links to company websites and the blogger gets commission if you shop through their link. For instance: Amazon is a well known on-line website and some bloggers have that link on their site. These links are usually to the right, left, or on both sides of the blog content.

•If there is an on-line store that you utilize often ask your blogger friend to see if it's available to add to their website so they get credit whenever you shop!

•If you are the type that already utilizes the content of blogging sites, and you leave comments now you have a website address to type in when it asks for one.

•After reading the content of a post be sure to look at the Google advertising as well. If it interest you then click on it and check it out. Bloggers make money on those advertisements just by a reader clicking on them. However don't click on them unless you want to.
All the things listed above will help your Mommy Blogger or blogger friend tremendously. Some support is better than none so if you can only do a couple I'm sure she will be very appreciative.
