Facebook is now used not just for building social networks, but for businesses as well. Companies would want as much fans as possible so they can send out their newsletters and product information to those people. The best way to do this is to have an opt-in form in their fan page. This article tells you how to set up an opt-in page for Facebook.

First, you have to make sure that you already have a ready made opt-in form with an HTML code. Make one using your Office Frontpage or any other software or website that can help you create your opt-in form HTML.

Next is to add the Facebook Static FBML application so that you can have more advanced functions in your fan page. Installing the application is easy, and you will be asked to choose which pages you want to add to it.

After you have added the application, go to your page and then click "Edit Page". From your list of applications, locate FBML, and then click it to start editing. In the box title, you can put a name like Newsletter or Signup. Paste the HTML code of your opt-in form in the FBML section.

Next to this is to add a new tab to your Facebook navigation page. You can find it next to the "Boxes" tab. Click on the drop down menu, and you will see FBML under your applications. Click on FBML, and your opt-in form will now be visible in your page.

Once you have done these, you can have more fans and subscribers.
