Relaxing your hair is easy, just follow the steps below:

First you will need the following items:

2 Towels
Hair Color Brush
Hair Relaxer Creme
4 Hair Clips
Neutralizer
Conditioner
Plastic Cap
Timer

Once you've prepared the items that you needed be ready to follow these steps:

1. See to it that you've completely prepared your hair for the relaxer.

2. Put a towel around your neck and shoulders to catch any of the relaxer crème that might

drip off when you're applying it.

3. Use the tail of the brush to divide your hair into equal sections. Go horizontally from

ear to ear then vertically from your forehead to the nape of your neck. Use a clip and pin

each section up.

4. Begin from the back of your head and part one inch section of hair horizontally.Put your

applicator brush into the relaxer creme and apply it to either side of the divided piece of

hair, staying near to the scalp and not passing the line of demarcation (where the new

growth meets the hair that's been relaxed already).

Move quickly when you're dividing and applying the relaxer creme. Each quarter of the hair

shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes to apply. Be sure to keep the 4 sections of hair

separated during the process.

5. After you've done your whole head put on gloves on your hands to go through your hair the

same way you did with the brush. Gently smooth the hair with your fingers (again remember

not to pass the demarcation line).

6. Keep on smoothing until the line of demarcation disappears (or up to 10 minute).

7. Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water until the relaxer creme is removed then use

the neutralizing shampoo/conditioner that comes with your relaxer system.

Shampoo and rinse 2-3 times or until all traces of the relaxer creme are removed from the

hair.

8. Use a fresh towel and gently squeeze the excess water from your hair.

9.Apply conditioning treatment, cover your hair with a plastic cap and sit under a warm

bonnet dryer for 20 minutes.

10. Rinse your hair completely and apply leave-in conditioner and style.

Just a few reminders:

1. Dont scrape or irritate your scalp before relaxing your hair or with comb teeth as you

relax.

2. If you feel any uncomfortable burning sensations stop and rinse it all out.

3. Don't relax your hair more often than every 10 to 16 weeks to keep it healthy.

4. Stretch the time between relaxers by wearing no-comb hairstyles like rod sets, twist

outs, braid outs and braids.
