If you want to further improve the accuracy of your shots in Halo: Reach, you need to make some configurations in Halo 3. If you are firing on long distance, regardless of the weapon you are using, you must slow down when shooting and take your time to reset the bloom and fire again. You cannot simply open fire on your enemy and expect that all of your bullets will hit your target.

More often than not, you will be dead before you can hit your enemy if you are a trigger happy player. Always remember that the first 2 or 3 shots are not very important, but after these three shots, you need to learn the proper timing to hit your enemy with impeccable accuracy. When you have taken down the shield of your enemies, make sure that you relax and let your bloom reset and aim for the head. Using this method, I can kill enemies consistently with 5 or 6 shots.

Another tip that will surely enhance your accuracy is to crouch while you are shooting. Crouching will not only help you to have more accurate shots, but it will also help you have faster shots. This is a vast advantage for you, especially if your enemy hasn’t spotted you yet. This technique is also very effective if you are using an automatic fire needle rifle. If you are engaged in a 1 on 1 battle, the best thing that you can do to improve your accuracy is to jump or strafe.

And for the last tip, in case you don’t know it yet, holding the trigger of the automatic fire needle rifle longer, you will be able to shot at full speed. However, even while you are using this method, you still need to slow down and follow the first technique that I have mentioned above, let the bloom reset and fire again.
