How to Find the Best Anti-Aging Skin Creams and the Difference Between Good, Bad & Downright Scary

While searching for the best anti-aging skin creams I ran across some pretty bad products. I won't buy anti-aging skin cream, unless I can read about the ingredients first. I do my research, because my skin's health is important to me. I want to look good, but not at the risk of endangering my health.

That's why I don't like this new "Botox alternative". Every time I see a commercial for it, I cringe. Do you know what the company claims the anti-aging skin cream can do?

They claim that it penetrates the skin, through the tissue and into the tiny facial muscles that control expression, "relaxing" them. I would never use Botox because it actually does paralyze the muscle and can cause muscle death. The active ingredient in the new and supposedly best anti-aging skin creams is called Argireline.

The Food and Drug Administration is actually investigating some of the companies that use the ingredient. Because, if their claims are true, Argireline should be classified as a "new drug" and complete safety testing should be conducted.

It's unusual for the FDA to get involved. The European Union has stricter standards, but apparently, they aren't concerned about the safety of this anti-aging skin cream ingredient. The bottom line is that there is no way to tell what continued use of the product could do to your face.

With today's technology, it is possible for ingredients to penetrate the outer layers of the skin. Parabens and other commonly used cosmetic compounds have been found in tissue samples. But, the best anti-aging skin creams contain things like vitamins, protein, amines, and essential fatty acids. When they penetrate, the effects are purely beneficial.

When parabens and other more hazardous ingredients penetrate, the effect can be free radical damage and even cancer. Like me, I'm sure that you want to look good, but not at the risk of increasing your risk of cancer.

It is very common these days to see anti-aging skin cream that includes sunscreen. Although some sunscreens may help prevent cancer, others damage DNA strands and increase free radical activity. The only fully tested, completely safe, broad spectrum sun block is zinc oxide.

Titanium dioxide has recently been listed as a possible human carcinogen. Oxybenzone and benzophenone are known carcinogens. Yet, there are still many lotions on the market that contain those ingredients.

The best anti-aging skin creams contain vitamin B5, which provides some protection from the sun and also moisturizes. They also contain antioxidants like coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E.

An anti-aging skin cream must be properly manufactured and contain relatively large amounts of the antioxidants in order to be effective. But, if the formulation is correct, they "scavenge" free radicals all the way through the epidermis and into the dermis layer.

The best anti-aging skin creams were created using the latest nanotechnology. They can penetrate deeply, but not to "relax" the muscles, simply to help you look younger and healthier. It's the best thing for your skin's health and for the rest of your body.

Once you find an anti-aging skin cream that contains the ingredients that protect and moisturize your skin, I think you will be pleased with the results. I know that I am.
