How to Achieve The Perfect Hair Style for your Prom Night

Traditionally prom night is all about sweeping romantic dresses and hair swept up in a soft but sophisticated manner but this is the modern world and prom has to keep up with today's trends. There are no set rules about a style of dress or hair that is appropriate for prom but feeling glamorous and totally gorgeous is all part of prom.

If your prom has a theme then keep in mind the theme when picking a dress, a short dress wouldn't really suit the theme of old Hollywood for example so be guided by your theme if you have one. Top knots are a simple straightened hair tied up in a high pony with hair wrapped around and pinned but there can be any number of ways to decorate and enhance this look. Partially crimping will make the style unusual, partially braided will have the same effect and leaving a few pieces of straightened hair flicking out will give it a touch of texture.

A twisted bun is easy to achieve with medium to long length hair. Taking the middle four inch or your hair, pulling backwards and twisting till the hair is able to be tied at the base of your head including the rest of your hair pulled back straight. Then work the rest of the hair into a twist and fix with bobby pins leaving some pieces flicking outwards to add more texture this should achieve an elegant look with minimal effort.
The trick is to experiment with your friends before prom and get your hair straighteners, curlers and hairspray out and try to create the perfect style to suit you.
