Hee Haw is not only the natural sound a donkey would make but also a famous country music show for a span of 22 years from way back in 1969. The hosts of the show were Buck Owens and Roy Clark. Hailing from Texas, Alvis Owens received his nickname "Buck" from a pet mule in his father farm. He began to host the show after making a successful career of the country music industry. Roy Clark on the other hand, was a usual cast member of the Jimmy Dean show but was later dismissed by not being punctual.

Many legendary stars were featured in the show, including Johnny Cash. Hee Haw made headlines and was a hit amongst all types of audiences, not only aiming at rural farmers. Uptown New Yorkers were regular fans of this entertainment program.

The show was mainly focused on country music industry, and features scantily clad lasses in farmer's daughter's attire. Humor is the biggest element in this show and it had helped gain a voluptuous fanfare all over America.

"Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper?" is a comedic segment where one of the cast member would ask Grandpa Jones about the menu for supper. The role of Grandpa, played by Louis Jones, draws quite a response from the audience when he states a gross-sounding dish and the crowd shout out comments of disgust.

Sequentially, another lovable character called Junior Samples which is also a regular on this quintessentially American comedy program. In each segment, this guy would try his best to sell dingy bits of metal scrap that had been cleverly turned into automobiles and tries to pass them as cars. He often promises a bargain of a deal and brag about how low the cars are priced at.

The creative maestros behind this show are mostly Canadians and because of that the hillbilly concept is over-exaggerated due to the fact that the writers are of farming background.
